BEST ESSENTIAL OIL - LEMON EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL

Lemon Eucalyptus plant has sword-shaped, gray-green leaves and tiny, white flowers. The lemon eucalyptus plant is also known as lemon-scented gum, it has a more pungent smell than other citrusy herbs, like lemon verbena, lemon balm, and lemon thyme.

If you touch its leaves, the air is infused with a super-strong scent of lemon. In fact, if you’ve ever burned a citronella candle, don’t think it is scented with real lemon fragrance, rather, it is made with oil from lemon eucalyptus bush leaves.

We partnered with farmers (in Mukono - Uganda) and invested in learning how to grow and care for these trees, a project that started prior to the pandemic in 2019 with much research in sourcing good seed from Eastern Uganda.

We grew found of the trees, because of how easy it was to care for them, the lovely "memorable" scent and its great uses.

Uses of Lemon Eucalyptus Essential oil

It’s not difficult to describe the possible lemon eucalyptus uses. Generally, gardeners like growing lemon eucalyptus for its ornamental qualities and for the fragrance of its leaves.

(cleansing, uplifting and refreshing lemon-scented aroma)

Oil from the leaves is applied to the skin as a medicine and insect repellent. Lemon eucalyptus oil is used for preventing mosquito, tick bites, for treating muscle spasms, toenail fungus (onychomycosis), and osteoarthritis and other joint pain.

At Lake House, we incorporate Lemon Eucalyptus hydrosol and oils in our body wash formula, our repellent sprays, and repellent balm for the healing, uplifting and rejuvinating experience.
